Saturday 24th March 2012 from 10am to 2pm.

Entry $10.00 per family/individual and $5.00 for students

Our Sustainability Expo is a great day for the family and community to connect with nature and learn how to look after our planet and each other.

WWF Earth Hour and the WWF Panda visit The Point Preschool

We were all so excited at the end of the year to have a visit from the WWF Earth Hour's Marni Ryan and the WWF Panda. Why Documentaries filmed at our place over 2 days to create a DVD to inspire other schools to take up the sustainability challenge and to enter the Going Beyond the Hour - WWF Earth Hour Awards. We are the very proud winners of the 2011 Inaugural WWF Earth Hour People's Choice Award.

The filming was a great experience and the children were amazing. The highlight for the children was dancing with Panda to one of our favourite Peter Morgan songs.

Jon Dee, Australian of the Year 2010 and co-founder of Planet Ark visits The Point Preschool

Jon Dee dropped into visit us at our place on the last day of preschool. We were all so excited and the children sang The Gumtree Song in Jon's honour. We are collaborating with Jon and his new initiates Do Something and Do Something Near You to complete a very big project during 2012. Stay tuned for the details.

Everyone is invited to our 6th Annual Sustainability Expo on

Saturday 24th March 2012.

10am - 2pm

Entry $10.00 per family/individual
$5.00 students

Discounts for those who walk or travel to the Expo by public transport.

A well as showcasing our sustainable building, practices and projects, you will have the opportunity to meet local and community green business and services. The children will be delivering sustainable workshops and it will be a great day for families to connect with nature, have fun and learn how to nurture each other and our planet.

Our Twilight Workshop for Educators will be held on the evening of Friday 23rd March.

The Point Preschool awarded for reducing our ecological footprint once again

We are so proud to announce that we have received a World Leadership Gold Certification with GreenBizCheck for our Sustainability practices.

We have integrated a workplace Sustainability Program to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. In order to qualify for 'Gold Level Certification' we have successfully implemented more than 90% of environmental standards in our workplace. The Point Pre School's commitment to improving our sustainability means that we have assess our current operations and put in place measures to reduce our use of non renewable resources, waste to landfill, use of paper products and water. This independent certification program is provided by GreenBizCheck and facilitated by CoEfficiency Australia.

2011 Earth Hour People's Choice Award winner is The Point Preschool

We are so proud to be awarded the inaugural Earth Hour People's Choice Award 2011. The Awards were held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney on Earth Hour Day 26th March 2011. We congratulate all the other finalists and category winners and thank them for the contribution they are making to our sustainable future. A very big thank you to Earth Hour and WWF for the opportunity to be part of these exciting awards and also for the amazing work they are doing. Thank you to everyone who voted to us and the many emails and messages of support and congratulations we have received from around Australia and overseas.
