The Point Preschool is a community not for profit organisation and licensed by Community Services. The preschool is licensed for 20 children per day, 40 children per week and is managed by the parents of the children attending the preschool in collaboration with the Director.
The preschool is licensed to operate for 40 weeks of the year and is open during the NSW Department of Education(DET) school term from Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 3.00pm. The preschool is closed during the NSW Department of Education school holidays and also closed one week prior to the DET end of year school holidays.
The children attend preschool 2 days per week on Monday and Tuesday, in the Rosella group or three days per week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, in the Cockatoo group.
As a community not for profit organisation, the preschool is funded primarily by fees, an operational subsidy received from Community Services and from fundraising. The Management Committee and educators are proud to provide very high quality early childhood education which is accessible to all children and their families in the community. Our fees for 2010 are $43.00 per day.
